Thank You SFIV, May I Have Another

I gotta get this off my chest. I really like Street Fighter IV. Really. The unique graphic style, the rock-genre soundtrack and all the new characters are enough to peak any fighter’s interest.

But the AI..jeez! C’mon Capcom. Since doing my initial review, I’ve had a chance to get more into it and despite my 5 outta 5 review, something needs to be said about the inconsistent and downright cheap AI.

The manual, a pretty little booklet, choc full of good game information clearly states that in single player arcade mode, opponents will gradually get harder as you progress. I call shenanigans, because when I can wipe the floor with the first two fighters then spend the next hour screaming over Zangief or hyper-retard El Fuerte before blowing through the next 4 fighters, well, then there’s a problem with that theory.

Oh, and how about that end boss, Seth. Round 1 should be a relative breeze, but during round 2 the computer AI becomes an impossibly cheap clairvoyant savant. Forget trying to throw him, he always grabs first. Oh, and don’t bother trying to out maneuver him with an ultimate combo either, cuz he already knows its coming and apparently can break through them.

I’m playing on medium level, and I know people have beat him on levels above, but I can’t be the only one experiencing this ungodly imbalance. What am I doing wrong?!?

While I’m at it.. what’s up with Chun-Li’s thighs? Does she even have knees?
