Free Running in the Mushroom Kingdom

I realize this is basically a commercial for a new style of gym, but once you hit play, you’ll instantly realize why I’ve included it on a site about video games. This parkour (french free running) “academy”, just north of the Media Geeks offices in the San Fernando Valley prominently features some familiar 8-bit scenery.

The Tempest Freerunning Academy opens to the public April 2nd and offers a variety of classes for different skill ranges. If they can find a way to teach me to break cubes of solid brick with my head or shoot fireballs from my fingers, I’m signing up. If you’re in the L.A. area and have an interest, you can visit http://www.tempestfreerunning.com/ for more details.
