JAMDAT and Radio Shack Offer Mobile Gaming

Up till now, cell phone gamers have only been able to purchase
software for their respective phones, either by using their phone’s
built in browser or by downloading the software to their PC’s and
connecting the mobile device to transfer the software. Not anymore.

Radio
Shack welcomes JAMDAT mobile into their retail locations, beginning
sometime before June, 2005. Using a proprietary wireless content
distribution, mobile gamers with compatible phones can walk into one of
the 6800 Shacks all over the country, purchase a new game for their
phone at the counter and download the software all in store. The fear
of shady websites with insecure pages or transmitting your credit card
number via your phone will all but be eliminated.

The idea is
phenomenally good, and well overdue. JAMDAT games include an impressive
roster for phone users including the addictive Bejeweled and most of
the movie, tv and sports licensed games. Check out more at http://www.jamdat.com/.
