New Wonder Woman is Passed the Lasso

It is without question that filling Linda Carter’s red thigh-highs is a tall order. Her name has become synonymous with DC’s ultimate heroine, Wonder Woman, and bringing her into the 21st century requires a lot of careful consideration, not the least of which is a leading lady. Tonight, David E. Kelly’s TV Movie/Pilot gets its Princess Diana with Adrianne Palicki.

Palicki is best known from her roles on Friday Night Lights and the short lived Lone Star series. More observant nerds might recognize her, or at least her voice, from numerous episodes of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken and Titan Maximum.

According to the DC Universe blog, “the pilot is a reinvention” that puts Wonder Woman in Los Angeles as a vigilante crime fighter who balances a corporate exec career with super powered extra-curricular activities as Diana Prince (get it?).

Wonder Woman is set to debut Fall, 2011.
