RIAA Sues 744 "John Does"

The Recording Industry Association of America has filed 744 more suits today, covering John Doe defendants, as well as some defendants that did not agree to out-of-court settlements. These John Doe defendants are Persons unknown to the RIAA.

Last year, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia denied the RIAA attempts to subpoena user records from ISP’s for user records for people they believe to be involved in illegal file sharing. In January, the RIAA Sued 532 IP addresses that they believe to be involved in illegal file sharing.

This bring the total of lawsuits filed by the RIAA to over 4,000, making tons of money for people who already make millions of dollars a year.
