Star Wars TV Series Confirmed

At a press event held to hype the Star Wars Trilogy DVD release, Lucasfilm officially announced their plans for a Star Wars television series. Unfortunately that ALL the announced. No other details were released to the crowd which leaves us with a multitude of questions.

When in the Star Wars timeline will the series take place? Will it be animated or live action? What network will air it? Will it be devoid of Lucas intervention? We expect more details to seep out of the ranch, now that the ewok is out of the bag.
