Xbox 2 Will Shun E3
In a bold move by Microsoft, their follow up console will not be
announced at this years Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) as is custom
for developers to do. Instead, the Xbox 2 will make its debut in a
media blitz event on MTV, May 12th.
Clearly targeting the hip crowd, the half hour event will be hosted by
Elijah Wood and feature celebrity guests and a rock performace by the
Killers. At first glance of the night’s planned festivities, 30 minutes
isn’t going to cover it and I’m guessing we’re gonna see more of the
sludge programming that video game award shows tend to be.
Still, a preview is a preview and we’re looking forward to the show.
