Catch a pirate, get the booty

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the National Association of Theatre Owners (the other NATO) announced a program in which theatre employees could collect up to $500 bucks for every person they catch with a camcorder in a movie theatre.

Adding to the list of acronyms, the ACRP, or Anti-Camcording Rewards Program was unveiled yesterday and will be funded by the MPAA in an attempt to deter film piracy in the US. Theatre employees I’m close too already get a satisfaction in catching these guys with their lens caps off and this program can only help to highten the senses, so to speak.

Now, if we could only put a bounty up for stopping a bad movie before it’s released…
