Producer Al Jean (TV’s “The Simpsons”, TV’s “The Critic”) has announced that “The Simpsons” will finally come to the big screen, with a scheduled 2008-release date. No details about the script have been released.
Martin Campbell (GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro) is in negotiations to direct the next installment of James Bond, which is being pushed back to a 2006 release from its original November 2005 release date.
Kathy Griffin (Pulp Fiction) has joined Vincent Pastore (TV’s “The Sopranos”), Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Love Don’t Cost a Thing) and Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) in “Vegas Baby,” written and directed by Eric Bernt (writer – Romeo Must Die, writer – Virtuosity).
Shawn Ashmore (X-Men Series) will join Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels Series, Kill Bill Series), Sandra Oh (Under the Tuscan Sun, The Princess Diaries), Sarah Polley (Dawn of the Dead, Go), and Olympia Dukakis (Joan of Arc, Mother, Mr. Holland’s Opus), replacing Scott Speedman in “3 Needles,” written and directed by Thom Fitzgerald (The Wild Dogs, Beefcake).
