Daily Casting Report – 2/2/2005

Owen Wilson (Starsky & Hutch, The Royal Tenenbaums) has picked up the rights to the Novel “Hello to All That: A Memoir of War, Zoloft, and Peace,” with which he will star and produce.

Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction) has joined Danny DeVito (War of the Roses), Kim Basinger (Batman), Nick Cannon (Drumline), Forest Whitaker (Panic Booth), Carla Gugino (The Spy Kids Series), Jay Mohr (Jerry McGuire), Kelsey Grammer (Down Periscope), and Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) in “Jump Shot,” for director Mark Rydell (On golden Pond), a film penned by Robert Tannen.

Juliette Binoche (The English Patient), Heather Graham (Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged me), Forest Whitaker (Panic Booth), and Matthew Modine (Le Divorce) have joined the cast of “Mary,” for director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant).

Jacinda Barrett (Ladder 49, Human Stain) will star with Zach Braff (Garden State, TV’s “Scrubs”) in “The Last Kiss,” for director Tony Goldwyn (The L Word) a film scripted by Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby).

Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye) has finally confirmed, again, that he will no play any more 007 roles, according to a release on his website.

Catherine Zeta-Jones (Ocean’s 12, Chicago) is negotiating to star in “Rachel’s Holiday,” a film to be directed by Francesca Joseph (Tomorrow La Scala!), and has been adapted from the novel by Jonathan Harvey.
