Director's Guild Awards
On Sunday, Feb. 8th in Los Angeles, the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) held its annual awards dinner. This year they gave the top honor of best director of a feature film to Peter Jackson for Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. This award, combined with the Golden Globe Awards usually predicts the who will get the Oscar. Since Jackson won both, his chances are better, but not cemented.
There were several other best directors announced during the dinner including ones for best dramatic TV show, best comedy show, and even best daytime soap opera. Check them out here at the DGA website.
