Family Guy Gets New Episodes

20th Century Fox has committed to maked at least 22 new episodes of Seth McFarlane’s Family Guy. The show currently is in sindication and shows on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Block.

Since the show aired its last original episode in Feb. 2002 and moved to Adult Swim in April 2003 the show has become a pop culture hit. It had the highest TV series DVD sales of 2003 and beats out all other shows in its time period including “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in head-to-head competition.

The Cartoon Network has helped to breathe life back into the series and has had people swarming to Seth to make new episodes, so after being dead for two years the show has been officially revived. The new episodes will air on Adult Swim in early 2005.
