Fishburne, Bassett, Akeelah and The Bee
Writer/Director Doug Atchison sits at the helm of Akeelah And The Bee, the story of a South Los Angeles 11 year old, played by relative newcomer Keke Palmer, and her journey to the National Spelling Bee.
We’re not quite passing judgment, though we can’t imagine much interest in a movie with the described plot, evin with Laurence Fishburne and Angela Bassett
attached to the production. Agencies recently announced auditions for
set extras in and around Los Angeles for a 2 week shooting period
between February 26 and March 9th.
