Gellar as Twisted Alice

Imagine if Clive Barker, Todd McFarlance, Tim Burton and George A
Romero raised a child. What images would that child conjur when reading
the already twisted Lewis Carroll tale of Wonderland? Pretty
f$#@*$& twisted, right?

Gamer’s will recognize the name American McGee. The patriotic-named
game developer contributed to the horrific images that created the
creatures in Doom and Quake. Later, he headed an effort to bring a new
look to Alice in Wonderland via video game. It’s style was dark, gothic
and more than a little psychotic, but completely different and fresh.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that McGee’s efforts will soon be
available on film from Universal Pictures and playing the little maven
with the striped socks will be the slayer herself, Sarah Michelle
Gellar. McGee himself quotes in his BLOG that he has the utmost fait in
the actress as Alice based on her performance in The Grudge.

I’m not personally into the horror genre, but if the film maintains the
style McGee oozes in his artwork, I’ll have no problems keeping my eyes
open.
