Wow, I heard prelim reports for Dawn of the Dead a couple months ago, and I thought it was just going to be a boring re-hash of the original; yet another example of Hollywood creativity at its best!

The 2004 version stars Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames (Con Air, Pulp Fiction), Jake Weber (The Cell, U-571, Meet Joe Black), Mekhi Phifer (Honey, 8 Mile), Ty Burrell (Black Hawk Down), Michael Kelly (Unbreakable), and Lindy Booth.

Writing credits go to George A. Romero (author of the original Dawn of the Dead – credited as ‘1978 screenplay’), and James Gunn.

I hope this isn’t going to be another Freddy Vs. Jason. So far, the cast listing isn’t that impressive.

That is one hell of a trailer, though!
