Spy Hunter: The Movie

Both GameSpot.com and Movies-Studio.com are reporting talks of a movie loosely based on Spy Hunter, the 80’s arcade game that spawned several iterations for next gen consoles.

Rumored to star is WWE’s The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. The original Spy Hunter had little plot: dark blue cars = bad guys. Shoot, drive and repeat. The car, something of a souped up Knight Rider style sports car, in recent iterations has the ability to be a boat or a motorcycle depending on a situation.

It goes without saying that without a REALLY good story, there’s no way a flic like this can stand on it’s own feet simply based on the name of a popular video game. Especially a game that had no plot of its own.
