Virtua Tennis 3 Announced

Sega’s Road to E3 officially started today with their announcement of Virtua Tennis 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Virtua Tennis 3, developed by AM3 Studios, continues one of Sega Sports’ flagship franchises and brings the “ease of play but diffficult to master” gameplay the series is best known for into the next generation of consoles.

VT3 promises photo-realistic graphics and animation including facial expressions on athletes as they slam the ball cross court. Its expected to contain the same ease of pickup and accurate physics models as previous iterations of the title and a return of VT mini-game challengs for a twist on racket play. So far, no word has been dropped to the tune of online playability, but we expect to learn more at E3.

Expect Virtua Tennis 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 Spring 2007.
