Arkham Asylum Delayed

Oh lawdy, say it ain’t so! Easily one of the most anticipated titles of 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum, one promised for a June release, is now being pushed back to… well, no one yet knows.

Developers Eidos Interactive and Rocksteady and distributor Warner Bros. Interactive sent out a statement confirming the delay and promising an end of summer 2009 release. The delay will “allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers.”

Sure, I get that. It happens. Star Trek was delayed 3 months. We’re still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever. At this point though, all the screenshots, all the video clips and all the other sites writing about their experience with the builds, I’m thinking it’s probably worth the wait.

So code on, Rocksteady, and keep sending in those videos, Eidos.
