Bang! Zoom! Straight to the Zombie Infested Moon

It’s just a COD kinduva day. Hot on the heels of announcing that all in attendance would receive a copy of Modern Warfare 3 at the Call of Duty XP event in September, Activision threw another log on the fire with Rezurrection, an all-Zombie content pack for CoD: Black Ops, launching first on Xbox Live August 23rd. Nothing yet for PS3 or PC owners.

Rezurrection rockets players to the Moon, a low gravity lunar map that features brand new weapons and high tech gadgets to fight off an undead Nazi-Zombie horde. Additionally, the pack includes re-mastered levels: Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese, the Zombie factory. Throw in a soundtrack with three new tracks and a Zombie Moon theme and you’ve got a decent amount of content for 1200 MS points. Black Ops Hardened or Prestige Edition owners who already own the re-mastered maps will receive the Moon map, soundtrack and theme free of charge.

I’m not certain how this works exactly, but according to the press release, to commemorate the upcoming release of Rezurrection and Call of Duty XP, the team will host Double XP over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The DLC hits on August 23rd. The commemoration is on September 5th.

Maybe I’m missing something. Ah well. PS3 and PC updates coming soon.
