Bionic Commando Launch Trailer

They’re obviously cutting things REALLY close to the wire with this, but Capcom put out the Bionic Commando launch trailer this morning that, truthfully, does quite a bit to wash the bad taste of the multiplayer demo out of my mouth. The single player gameplay demonstrated in the trailer looks pretty epic, though I still fear a repetitiveness. Spider-Man, for example was, a blast to play but got old after the initial ‘wow’ factor wore off. Swinging around in an open, post-apocalyptic environment with a tricked out robotic-grapple arm WITH guns can’t help to improve upon Spideys fun, but without other crucial elements (say taking cover, smart enemy AI and an engaging -gasp- story) it’s success might be stunted.

The multiplayer demo released to consoles via download felt really tacked on, even without a full game to back it up). Here’s hoping that was a true beta and not indicative of the title at launch… tomorrow (May 19th).

Here’s your trailer:

Christopher Kirkman

Christopher is an old school nerd: designer, animator, code monkey, writer, gamer and Star Wars geek. As owner and Editor-In-Chief of Media Geeks, he takes playing games and watching movies very seriously. You know, in between naps.
