Brink Gets Early Release

There’s something you don’t hear every day. A video game is actually coming out earlier than expected.

Bethesda Softworks is moving it’s new shooter Brink to store shelves 1 week earlier than initially planned, from May 17th to May 10th in the states and from May 20th to May 13th in Europe.

“Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn’t see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “It’s apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier – we’re going to.”

Brink received a lot of attention at 2010’s E3 for it’s ability to deliver single–play, co-op and multiplayer gaming with an immense amount of customization and an environment with few boundaries.

Brink will be available for Xbox360, PS3 and Games for Windows.
