Connery To Star as Digital Bond

It’s been a whopping 34 years since we’ve sen the charming British
Actor playing the charmin British spy, but Sean Connery told the
Hollywood Reporter today that he would be reprising his role as 007 in
an upcoming chapter of the life of super spy, James Bond. This time
though, it’ll be digital.

Electronic Arts is remaking 1963’s From Russia With Love and Connery’s
younger likeness, as well as the likeness’ of his co-stars of the
movie, will appear in the shooter slated for this fall. Connery says
he’s excited. “Video games are an extremely popular form of
entertainment today, and I am looking forward to seeing how it all fits
together.”

According to EA, the game will follow the original movie plot,
including an exciting river chase as well as a fight aboard the Orient
Express, in addition to developer added action sequences to keep things
moving, game wise. No word yet on how the story will be portrayed, era
wise, whether it travels back to the 60’s or if the story is adapted to
modern times. Likewise, we’re unsure about any multiplayer elements but
expect to see more at E3 this year.

Expect to see From Russia With Love this fall on PS2, Xbox and GameCube.
