Doom II arrives on Xbox Live

id Software’s old school shooter, Doom II, became available on Xbox Live today and includes a bit of a facelift thanks to Bethesda Softworks. The original game was a highly anticipated sequel to the defacto 3rd person PC shooter for its time and featured new weapons, enemies and level designs.

The update brings all that to the Xbox 360 with surround sound, hi-def visuals, achievements, multiplayer and co-op over Xbox Live for around 10 bucks (800 MS points). Included is a new, never before seen bonus chapter of the Doom story.

Check out the screens and head over to your console for a demo or to purchase.
