Halo 2 Has No LAN?

Gamer’s hopes were dashed today when Microsoft confirmed that several
options will not be available on the release of Halo 2 when it comes
out on November 9th. This includes LAN and co-op play.
“Halo 2 only supports two-player campaign co-op on one Xbox,” a company
spokesperson told GameSpot. “No system link or Xbox Live.”
This recent news might upset those that believed the rumors and
pictures that were widely circulated showing a system-link play.

There was confirmation though that Xbox Live will offer full clan
support and up to four players will be able to play online on a single
Xbox. Gamers are probably happy to hear all of that because those
were two of the best features of the sequel. The only thing yet
unconfirmed is if you can piggy-back on the other person’s account
while on their Xbox or if each of the four players will need an Xbox
Live account. We shall soon find out.

Take a look at this article from GameSpot which also takes a look at the game’s online and LAN carnage.
