Need For Speed, Now Most Wanted

This morning, the EA Games division of Electronic Arts announced their
next big thing, another sequel to their line of top quiality racers.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted takes players back to the streets to once
again evade the cops, a la Hot Pursuit.

Street racing helps you to build your resources to upgrade your whip
and losing the pigs in a high speed chase builds your street cred,
raising you to become the most notorius and elusive street racer at
large. EA promises an open world environment, to give you the freedom
of gameplay that others like the GTA series and Spider-Man have
offered. In addition, lots of new cars are offered: muscles, tuners,
supercars and a gamut of sports cras, but no word on if they will be
officially licensed brands.

Release details are sketchy, but
a press release from EA not only confirms the title will be available
for all current systems including the DS and PSP, but it mentions the
game “will be available for a next generation console”. At Media Geeks,
we’re putting our money on the Xbox2 due to its recent coming out party announcement on MTV.
To promote its newest, EA is holding a NFSMW Custom Car Vinyl Design
Contest that would put winning designs into the upcoming title. Take a
look at http://www.needforspeed.com for details.
