Nintendo DS gets a few developers

Whether or not any of the announced titles will be ready to ship
with the DS come release day is up in the air, but the sheer quantity
of software announced is nothing to sneeze at. Coupled with another 60+
games from western based developers, it would seem that the DS is gonna
have a very strong launch on the retail front.

How the gaming
public will accept the new portable is also a topic of heated
discussion in the community. Regardless, here’s just a few of the major
brands and the titles that were announced in today’s press release:

  • Capcom – Megaman Battle Network, Viewtiful Joe, Gyakuten Saiban
  • Hudsonsoft – Bomberman
  • Konami – Boktai, Castlevania, World Soccer, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Vandal Hearts, Survival Kids
  • NAMCO – Mr. Driller, Pac-Pix, Pac’n Roll
  • SEGA – Sonic DS, Project Rub
  • SQUARE ENIX – Egg Monster Heroes, Finaly Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Dragon Quest Monsters
  • TAITO – Puzzle Bobble

Most of the other titles are very specific to the Japanese market and may never see U.S. shores.
