Shogun Warrior Announced for the DS

Publisher Namco has only 2 titles to speak of for the Nintendo DS
portable, Ridge Racer and an odd little puzzler called Mr. Driller.
This morning, they announced an additional title due out later this
fall called Shogun Warrior: Real Time Conflict. The game is a real time
strategy piece that supports wireless multiplayer action, up to 16
players at once, support more simultaneous connections than most PC
titles of the genre.

The dual display nature of the DS puts your overall strategy mapping on
the lower screen and the real time fighting on the upper in 3D.
Additional mini-games are provided to break up the typically
long-in-the-tooth game times for RTS matches.

Arenas boast
forest, castles, sea battles and more. Your armies will consist of
common foot soldiers, swordists, archers and even the stealthy ninja,
used to infiltrate enemy strongholds and assasinate rivals from the
inside. Ultimately your goal is to become the overlord of all feudal
Japan and once that has been accomlished, hidden rebel monk armies will
be made available. Who rights this stuff? Anyway, look for Shogun
Warrior, October 2005.
