SLUGS invade the PS2 and Xbox

In what’s left of American video arcades, a staple of the games found
on the floor has been SNK’s Metal Slug series of 2D side scrollers. The
shooter puts players in control of a special ops soldier dropped into
enemy territory with a mission to infiltrate and destroy any opposing
force, releasing POWs along the way. At his disposal are a number of
weapons and the Metal Slug, a powerful and dynamic tank that serves up
a lot of firepower and has the ability to conform to the environment at
hand. One of the primary draws to the games is the cartoon graphics and
huge boss battles.

This summer, SNK will bring the 4th and 5th games in the series to the PS2 and Xbox as a 2-fer for around $40 U.S..

Slug 4 features six stages on the land, sea and in the air. Players can
choose between 4 selectable soliders. Slug 5 fires of another 5 stages
with new enemies and new bosses that lead to a final underwater battle.
