Sony Portable Unit Delayed

CNN Money reports that Sony has announced their mobile Playstation, dubbed the PSP, will be delayed until early 2005. Sony cites a lack of content suitable for US markets.

Plans are to launch the unit in Japan before the holidays this year however, which is standard fare for many hardware and software companies.

Street value of the PSP is said to be $199 US. That’s a full 100 dollars more than the SP whose library of software titles is superior to nearly ANY other system, save for PC. It also gives them less speedbumps along they way to releasing their much speculated upon Nintendo DS, the dual screen handheld, recently announced.
