Spirit Fever Announced

Whose got spirit? Yes we do! We’ve got spirit! How bout you? This is one you just don’t see every day. Beginning in April, independent Swiss developer and cheerleader Joëlle Krummenacher will launch Spirit Fever, a free browser-based cheerleading management game. As far as we can tell, this is the first of its kind.

Players put their squads through practices in order to learn new skills and become better pom-pom pushers. Each element of practice materializes in the form of a mini game that tests speed, memory, calculation and memory skills.

I’ve no doubt that the developer’s intentions are harmless and that they only want to spread their love of the sport, but it’s difficult not to see why the creepy-uncle types would enjoy this stuff. The illustrations look like they could be pulled from one of those adult-oriented flash dress-up games. Oh, and whats up with that Fund Raising shot? What the hell is a Door-to-Door Back Sale?!?!
