Tales of Legendia Announced

Award winning developer, Namco Hometek, announced today the next in
their “Tales” series of role playing games. Tales of Legendia for the
PS2 has been in developement for several years, and still may not make
the market until 2006, but the screenshots so far look promising to RPG
fans.

Environments look as if they have been hand painted, and the charcters
were designed by acclaimed Japanese artist Kazuto Nakazawa, recently
known for his animation work on Kill Bill vol 1. Visually, the game is
no question appealing and if the adventure plays out like its
predecessor, Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube, this new title of the
franchise should do well on the new platform.

Tales of Legendia tells the story of siblings Senel and Shirley
Coolidge who, after drifting in a small boat for days without food or
water, wash up onto the shore of a mysterious island that turns out to
be a massive ship of legend, known as the Legacy. As the two work
together to defeat enemies and enlist friends, they discover a special
bond and gradually reveal the secrets of the Legacy and their own past.
