UMDs, If You Please

More and more distributors are hopping on the UMD bandwagon, providing
Sony’s PSP with a library of film titles that could quickly outnumber
the amount of gaming titles available for the new portable.

Anchor Bay Entertainment today announced their entries into the UMD
market with several obvious and not-so-expected titles. Time Bandits,
The Halloween horror series of movies and Evil Dead have been
announced. Oddly enough, Anchor Bay is also producing episodes of
Three’s Company, Highlander and Mr Roger’s Neighborhood of all things
will be made available this fall.

Stranger yet are the “for
Dummies” series of do-it-yourself videos and work out videos? Yes,
Crunch a series of fitness titles are coming to the tiny screen as
well. I can’t remember the last time I did sit-ups with my GameBoy SP,
but I suppose anything can find an audience.

The first of Anchor Bay’s titles will hit shelves August 23rd.
