Wireless XBox

According to Yahoo News this morning Microsoft will be putting out a wireless networking adapter for their XBox system. The price of the adapter is just shy of the system’s December price point of $179 for 2 games and 2 months of XBox Live service. The adapter uses the 802.11b wireless standard as well as the newer 802.11g transfer protocols.

The wireless unit, priced at $139 is said to be offered with a rebate of $40, provided that you also purchase the Xbox Live starter kit, disallowing consumers to participate in both the Microsoft Holiday promotional price and the rebate at the same time.

Onward, stalwart Microsoft, for thee has yet to purge all gold from all men.
