Splinter Cell

I’ve got to say, SPLINTER CELL is a great game. Better late than never, I finally got around to playing Ubi Soft’s SPLINTER CELL for the PC. After a surprising 3 disc install, I wasted no time in getting into the game. Based on a story from the mind of Tom Clancy, you play as a uber-covert oprative for a secret organization that does jobs the CIA can’t.

Audio wise & graphicly, the game is beautiful. Light & shadows play a big part in what is mostly a game of stealth. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of heart pounding shoot-outs to get to the exits, but you’ll need to think before you fire off a shot. I was impressed that with all the superb audio & video, gameplay was not overlooked. A head shot will take out your target, but if you’re not dead on, a few more shots will confirm your kill. All this, and it’s driven by a gripping & realistic story line & well done CG cut scenes.

Although it may not have a lot of replay value since there is no multiplayer, it definitely is a game I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for something original besides the first-person shooters & real-time strategy games that seem to be flooding the market.

One thing to note though: You’ll want to check out Ubi Soft’s website to make sure you’re machine can handle the game.
