The rock gods have smiled down upon me. Not so much my wife, but on me.
After much mental deliberation, I tossed 70 bucks last night at Best
Buy to pretend I can play guitar. Using a custom controller, Guitar
Hero for the PS2 makes you feel like you can actually play without ever
having taken a lesson.
It’s just one of those rythm based matching games with a little style
thrown in, but you’re strumming along with some of the most popular
rock songs of the past 30 years. ZZ Top, Joan Jett, Black Sabbath, Sum
41, Audioslave and the Red Hot Chili Peppers….freakin awesome!
I may be white, awkward, have no musical talent whatsoever and would
normally have nothing to offer a real life bad, but this is the only
game I’ve ever played that makes me feel like I’d have a chance.
