Capcom Fight Club Spoiled by Theft

In their continuing effort to promote Super Street Fighter IV around the country, Capcom and Sony staged another of their Capcom Fight Club events in Glendale, CA last night for around 2,000 fans. The evening’s events not only gave fans a chance to play the new title a few days before release but to also enjoy live music, meet some of the voice actors from the game and get a chance to see SF4 champion Daigo Umehara demonstrate his skills. Oh and there was Turkish Oil Wrestling too. Yeah.

Anyway, the I Am 8-Bit gallery organizers were on hand as well in a special capacity, filming Daigo for a documentary about the player’s exploits.

Sometime before the shindig ended, someone made off with I Am 8-Bit’s equipment including a Mac Book Pro, 2 Kodak zi8 HD video cameras and all of the SD cards containing the hours of footage they’d taken that night.

Anyone knowing anything about the footage is asked to contact founder Jon Gibson via email at jon@iam8bit.com. They aren’t even looking to get the equipment back, they just want the footage and they’re willing to pay for it and forget the whole thing:

“We are prepared to
offer a cash reward if that footage is returned to us. We don’t care
who stole it, we just want it back. We will NOT drag anyone through the
mud; your identity will be kept secret. We can promise you that.

Just please, come forward. We can arrange for a drop point somewhere in Los Angeles.”

If you know anything about this, please speak up.
