Out with Crystal, in with Rock
The 77th Academy Awards, set to air February 27th, 2005, is going for a younger audience. Chris Rock, the edgy comedian and co-star of the upcoming feature film, The Longest Yard will host next years Oscar ceremony, to which the senior citizens of America replied: “Chris who?”.
Rock is no stranger to award shows though. He hosted the edgier MTV Movie Awards in past years and has won several awards himself, including three Emmys and two Grammys. Rock will also be heard as the voice of a computer generated zebra in 2005’s animated feature “Madagascar”.
