Release the butterflies!!

Okay, whose job was it to feed the butterflies? I think 4 seasons is entirely too long to wait before a great cartoon sees its share of toy likenesses. Seems like the crappiest toons get action figures before the first episode even airs. This, however, is The Venture Bros., perhaps the greatest action/comedy show on Adult Swim. Where else can you get an earful of Patrick Warburton screaming AND performing bloody murder on butterfly henchmen?

So as a geek in his prime of life, you might imagine how excited I got when Bif Bang Pow! and Cartoon Network announced today that they will be producing a toy line inspired by the Adult Swim awesomeness including action figures, bobble heads and vehicles. Go Team Venture!

There was a brief mention of this at Comic Con 09 during the Venture panel, but nothing concrete. So far, no photos or artwork have been released, but we’ll post them the moment they become available.

Personally, I can’t wait to have Brock Sampson holding vigil over my keyboard or The Mighty Monarch’s floating cocoon on the shelf above my screen. Don’t even get me started on getting Dr. Girlfriends likeness put on ANYTHING, ANYWHERE.
