Cast Announcements for The Producers

Matthew Broderick (Leo Bloom) and Nathan Lane (Max Bialystock) will reprise their roles from their recent Broadway version of Mel Brook’s The Producers. The last title role was announce today by Universal when they cast Nicole Kidman as Ulla, the sexy and funny secretary. This looks to be an interesting combination.

Brooks and Thomas Meehan are working on a script to be directed by Susan Stroman. Shooting is tentatively scheduled for February 2005 with a release date around Christmas of 2005.
