David Arquette (Eight Legged Freaks, 3000 Miles to Graceland, The Scream Series) and Kristin Davis (TV’s “The Winning Season”, TV’s “Someone to Love”, TV’s “Sex and the City”) have joined “The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D,” a film written and directed by Robert Rodriguez (Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Spy Kids Series, Desperado)

Ashton Kutcher (The Butterfly Effect, Cheaper by the Dozen, My Boss’s Daughter) is in talks to join “Random Acts of Kindness,” based on a screenplay by Joshua Safran (From Here to Where You’re Going).

Director Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, Cliffhanger) and writer Joe Casey are working on a film adaptation of “Full Moon Fever”

Jack Warden (The Replacements), George Segal (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Ossie Davis (Bubba Ho-Tep), and Rip Torn (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) have joined Billy Burke (Ladder 49) in “Retirement,” for director Charlie Picerni (2 Days in the Valley).

Peter Sarsgaard (Garden State, The Cell) will join Jake Gyllenhaal (The Day After Tomorrow, The Good Girl) and Jamie Foxx (Ray, Collateral) in “Jarhead,” directed by Sam Mendes (Road to Perdition, American Beauty)

Justin Haythe (The Clearing) will pen a film titled “Snitch.”
