One critic, Scooper Doc, who recently saw an early screening of Van Helsing reports that “Without giving anything away…. it kicks *ss. Sommers has really recreated an old monster movie and made it feel like an old horror film. The action and characters’ personal struggles are awesome. He has also kept this to a action/adventure film, so there is no episodic type structure to it — just a cool summer blockbuster that’ll rock. The first scene in the film is a great hook.”
