Wall-E Viral Campaign Starts up

Pixar is jumping on the viral marketing bandwagon with the launch of a fictional company’s website BuyNLarge.com. Buy N Large is the corporation that manufacturers dozens of space age goodies featured in the upcoming movie, Wall-E, including the title character and a series of other household convenience robots.

The campaign includes a series of art-deco like posters (handed out as postcards during Comic-con 07) and product-intro like videos touting the many features of the product. Like this one:

The video even provides some hints to the nature of the story, quoting “When you return, Earth will be waiting, even better than when you left it”.

Let’s face it, who can hate that face? It’s like if that Short Circuit robot and a Taxi Cab had a baby.
