First Kung Fu Panda Screens

Dreamwork’s summer CGI outing for 2008 stars Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu just to name a few. And naturally, getting a video game treatment. In Kung Fu Panda, players embark on an action packed….blah blah blah. You’ve heard it all before. It’s a 3D platformer that features several martial arts fighting styles displayed in the movie. 13 levels of puzzle solving, co-op and competetive multiplayer and collectible-ridden gameplay is promised, sure to make any 8 year old with a console scream till he gets the disc.

Set for a May release, Activision is spreading the shuriken love on both Sony flavored consoles, the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, DS and finally the Windows PC. It all sounds really cookie cutter, but we’ll grant that the screens ARE pretty colorful and clean (assuming hi-def console). Plus the characters look true to their silver screen rendered counterparts, so we’ll refrain from making the usual film-to-game assumptions.
