Lego Star Wars 2 Release Date
Lego brand toys and the Star Wars franchise have gone together like peanut butter and jelly for years, but even when Eidos and Tt Games released a Star Wars video game represented in Lego form, more than one veteran gamer slash fanboy cocked an eyebrow.
Even so, the game became a massive hit, popular with fans, families and hard core gamers alike. The title covered the timeline from the Star Wars prequel trilogy and slapped a preview level in from the original trilogy. Needless to say, it left people wanting more, naturally a sequel, that took place during the first 3 movies. Fans got their wish and a date has been announced for Lego Star Wars 2: The Orginal Trilogy; September 12th. Not surprising, this coincides with an additional DVD release of the original trilogy movies, this time, the unedited, theatrical releases of the films.
The new game offers improvements over the previous, including an auto-adjusting difficulty level and brings back the much loved co-op mode of adventuring. Throw in buildable vehicles and mix-and-match character creation and you’ve got the makings of a great title for really any audience.
Personally, I can’t WAIT to fly through a Death Star trench made of Legos.
