Daily Casting Report – 1/4/2005

Ben Affleck (Jersey Girl, Daredevil, Peal Harbor) and Will Smith (I, Robot, Bad Boys Series, Men in Black Series) have joined the cast of “Affirmative Action,” in a script penned by Jeffrey Abrams (TV’s “Lost”, TV’s “Alias”, Armageddon).

Mario Lopez (Big Brother Trouble, TV’s “Saved by the Bell”) will join the cast of “The Goal.”

Rumor Romp:

Mira Sorvino (Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Mighty Aphrodite) and Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, Stealing Beauty) are negotiating to star in “Civic Duty,” for director Vic Sarin (Deluxe Combo Platter).

The latest newsletter from the James Bond International Fan Club states:

“Although the media reports that Pierce has had enough of the ongoing Bond debate and ruled himself out – I have heard rumours that some further negotiations may have just taken place and he may still be back for the new film due for release in 2006. Don’t rule him out just yet – that’s all I can say on the subject!!”
