Sheetal Sheth (Indian Cowboy, Wings of Hope) has joined the latest untitled Albert Brooks (The Muse, Mother, Defending Your Life) project, in which Brooks will stars, write and direct.

William H. Macy (The Cooler), Adam Brody (Missing Brendan), and Sam Elliott (Hulk) have joined Cameron Bright (Godsend), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man Series), David Koechner (My Boss’s Daughter), Kim Dickens (Things Behind the Sun), Aaron Eckhart (Paycheck), Robert Duvall (Secondhand Lions) and Katie Holmes (Pieces of April) in “Thank You for Smoking,” with Jason Reitman (Consent, In God We Trust) directing.

Michael Douglas (Traffic, Basic Instinct, War of the Roses) will star in “Racing the Monsoon,” to be directed by Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care, Dr. Doolittle 2).

Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (Chasing Liberty) have been hired to adapt the comic “The Krazees,” which will star Robin Williams (Insomnia, One-Hour Photo, Jumanji).
