Episode 3 Crawl Online

Starwars.com has posted the opening crawl to Episode 3, the yellow text that scrolls from the bottom of the screen, traditionally beginning each film accompanying John Williams’ rapturous score. The article includes an interview with John Knoll, Visual Effects Supervisor for the prequels, explaining how he created each of the crawls and to what extent George is involved: “he really cares about the typography”.

Following the interview is the Roll-Up Library, a collection of the six title sequences including the crawl from the upcoming Revenge of the Sith. Spoiler warning now! Hit back now if you don’t want to know:

REVENGE OF THE SITH

War! The Republic is crumbling
under attacks by the ruthless
Sith Lord, Count Dooku.
