For the last 4 years, the British have celebrated their love of science
fiction at Sci-Fi-London, a festival of science fiction and fantasy
film. The festival showcases many independent and fan films, not to
mention holding all nighters for various films, including The Matrix,
The Lord of the Rings and various anime series’.

This year, Slipstream, a new film starring Lord of the Rings’ Sean
Astin, will premiere at the event which beginning February 2nd and
going through the 5th and takes place at 6 different theatres. The
premiere itself takes place on February 3rd at the Prince Charles
Cinema in Leicester Square, London.

Professor Stuart Conway
(Astin) is a disgruntled employee at a large scientific research
outfit. After losing his funding he plots a bank robbery based around
his newest invention – a time travel gadget that will send its user 10
minutes into the past. Stuart’s employers suspect something and rat him
out to Sarah Tanner (Ivana Milicevic), an undercover cop. Everything
seems to be going according to plan at the bank, until a group of
violent thieves arrive, lead by the notorious Winston Briggs (Vinnie
Jones). Naturally, the time device falls into the wrong hands and the
cat and mouse chase starts.
