Spielberg & Cruise Back Together

Paramount officially announced in The Hollywood Reporter that since Spielberg has been having problems with a drama he was readying to shoot about the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics. With that project delayed while it undergoes a rewrite by Tony Kushner, Spielberg’s schedule opened up. Also, MI:3 has been plagued with director problems and is now on the back burner, but not scrapped. With both now available they will join forces for a modern day remake of H.G. Wells War of the Worlds. Filming will start in November and it will be released sometime next year. This picture will definetly have lots of special effects considering it is about an alien invasion of Earth.
