Mission Impossible 3

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to see MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3. The details of this mission is to ignore the hype of the movie and public relations of Mr.Cruise and give MI3 a fair and unbiased review. This review will self destruct in 5 seconds (better read fast).

As with the past MI missions, within the first 20mins of the film, an IMF operation is executed. Aside from casting and some minor plot points, this is the only thing the movie has in common with it’s predecessors. While fully informing you of Ethan Hunt’s mission wouldn’t be advised, frequent flyer miles were most definitely earned, considering how many countries the movie takes place in. Key witnesses have compared some similarities that the film has with James Cameron’s TRUE LIES. While this speculation has been disavowed, it can’t be ignored entirely.

Kidding aside, the movie was entertaining, action-packed and well executed. Stunts were realistic (unlike MI2’s motorcycle whatever-that-was). Every actor gave a decent and believable performance. And thank God, no doves in slow motion, appeared in this movie.

All around I’d recommend MI:3 for anyone even slightly interested in seeing it. For an early summer blockbuster, this film gives me some hope that the coming season’s movies have a good standard to live up to.
